1. Realtors Home & Garden Show at Wisconsin State Fair Park

The 97th annual Realtors Home & Garden Show returns to State Fair Park’s Wisconsin Exposition Center March 24 through April 2. More than 350 exhibitors will be on hand to talk (and show) home, lawn and garden improvement ideas. Show hours are 10 am to 8 pm March 24-25 and March 31-April 1; 10 am to 5 pm March 26 and April 2; and 4 to 8 pm March 29-30 (closed March 27-28). Admission at the door is $10, $6 for seniors 65 and older, and free for kids 12 and younger. Info: mkehgs.com.

The interchange between US and northern European design is on full display in “Scandinavian Design and the United States, 1890–1980,” at the Milwaukee Art Museum March 24-July 23.

2. ‘Scandinavian Design and the United States’ at Milwaukee Art Museum

“Scandinavian Design and the United States, 1890-1980,” a new exhibit exploring the design exchanges between the US and Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland, opens at the Milwaukee Art Museum March 24. More than 180 objects, from furniture to jewelry, are part of the exhibit, which runs through July 23. The show is included with museum admission: $22, $17 for students, seniors 65 and older, and members of the military; free for museum members and kids 12 and younger. Info: mam.org.

3. Last weekend for ‘Plant-itary Orbits’ train show at Mitchell Park Domes

“Plant-itary Orbits,” the Mitchell Park Domes’ spring train show, closes March 26. Admission at the Domes, 524 S. Layton Blvd., is $9, $6 for students with ID, kids ages 3 to 12 and people with disabilities , and free for kids 2 and younger. Info: mitchellparkdomes.com.

4. Halfway to Oktoberfest Celebration at Bavarian Bierhaus

It doesn’t really feel like spring yet, and Bavarian Bierhaus, 700 W. Lexington Blvd., Glendale, is already looking forward to Oktoberfest. Then again, we’re talking about Oktoberfest. The beer hall’s Halfway to Oktoberfest Celebration, which starts at 11 am March 25, includes live music, a free keg-tapping at 4 pm, and a meterwurst-eating contest at 5:30 pm (participants must sign up in person before March 25 ).
