Steven Seagal Given Land by Russia Previously Allocated for Sick Children

Actor Steven Seagal has been given land by authorities in the prestigious Rublevka area near Moscow that was previously allocated for the care of children with cancer, according to a report.

The Gorki Holding Co., which Seagal has a 26 percent stake in, received a huge plot of land in the Odintsovo district, according to Russian news outlet Baza. Authorities in the Moscow region reportedly gave the company 8.2 hectares (20 acres) of land in the Odintsovo district, with a market value of 800 million rubles ($13.6 million).

The Biden administration announced late Tuesday that it would reverse a Trump-era land swap deal facilitating the construction, in an Alaska wilderness area, of a potentially life-saving road opposed by environmental groups.

The Department of the Interior (DOI) withdrew the land exchange — which had been finalized by former Interior Secretary David Bernhardt in 2019 and aggressively defended in court by the Biden administration — and explained that it contained procedural flaws and wasn’t consistent with agency policy . The Earth formed approximately 4.6 billion years ago, according to National Geographic. If the world was captured all those years ago, the land masses would’ve been structured completely different to how they look now. Most continents were scattered chunks of land, located south of the Equator.

These chunks joined to form a single mass of land due to Earth’s inner tectonic activity. This single supercontinent was named “Pangaea” by geologists, which means “all lands” in Greek, National Geographic reports. Millions of years later, the same forces that formed Pangea started breaking the supercontinent into parts that formed today’s continents.
